Description of Guajar Faraguit

The Los Guajares is in a sub tropical valley just 20 minutes from the coastal town of Motril and its beaches, and 40 minutes from Granada, but on some maps the valley doesn't get a mention. It comprises three sparkling white villages that time has seemingly passed by, Guajar Fondon, Guajar Faraguit and Guajar Alto.

The temperature in the valley can only be described as perfect for most people. Slightly cooler than the coast in the summer months, and warmer in the winter. The produce grown in the valley includes banana, avocado and chirimoya (custard apple).
